Customer Reviews

"First time at The Skillet. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito and it was very good. Great service, the place was nice and clean, and my food came out fast and hot. My waitress was very friendly and helpful."

"This little place is amazing! We were on our way home from Cedar Point and put in our gps to go to 7-11 for Free Slurpee day. But, we came across this cute little diner next door! We sat outside. It was me and 5 teenagers. The staff is nice. I got the perch platter, and they got: breakfast burrito, Mickey Mouse pancakes, cheeseburger, Turkey Bacon club and scrambled eggs with toast. It was delicious!!! I wish we lived closer so we could come all the time."

"Susie's Skillets is the perfect spot for a delicious, hearty breakfast! Our soccer team and families came here for breakfast, and we had such a great time. The food was absolutely delicious--everything was cooked to perfection, from the fluffy pancakes to the crispy bacon and perfectly seasoned skillets. You can really taste the homemade quality in every bite! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure our large group was well taken care of. Even with a full house, the service was fast, and everyone got their meals hot and fresh. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to sit back and enjoy a meal with family and friends. If you're in the Walbridge area and looking for a great breakfast spot, Susie's Skillets is definitely the place to go. We'll absolutely be back next time we're in town!"

"Three days on a business and vacation trip and this is where I ate. Wonderful service and food quality. Very fair prices. Kind and congenial staff. This restaurant is how restaurants were in past eras. Locals favorite and a travelers respite. Thanks for being here."

"Normally, I like going to The Skillet for a meal. I'll go once a week. I get great food that gets done fast even when they're busy (in about 10 minutes). Today, it was going on 2 o'clock and there was only 2 orders that came in after mine. It took 5 minutes to get coffee and silverware and then 25 minutes to get an omelet, bacon, and home fries. The waitress claimed it wasn't her fault that it was the kitchen. My order was put in at least 10 minutes before the next order was placed my one man. The bacon and fries were over-cooked, but, the omelet turned out good. I suspect after I pointed out that my order was late that the cook had forgot to check my food because everyone was talking through the window, and he had to remake the omelet. Fine! I got my food; late and at full price. No, we're sorry for our mistake and no discount. Why is this ok when the place was almost empty?"

"Food is always good. Don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. Faith, our waitress was very attentive, even though it was very busy there"

- Steven K.

"You are definitely missing out if you never get a chance to visit here. Great atmosphere, great service, very good food! Clean and well kept inside and out. Open early, and close to State route 795 and Interstate 280. A real good place to have a great breakfast."
